Free multi-criteria decision analysis calculators

Rank your options against weighted criteria with TOPSIS, ELECTRE, SAW, WPM, Linear Assignment and AHP consistency checks. Free to use, no account needed.

Choose a calculator

TOPSIS

Ranks alternatives by how close each one is to the ideal solution and how far it is from the worst.

ELECTRE

Finds which alternatives outrank others through pairwise agreement and disagreement checks.

SAW

Scores each alternative with a transparent weighted sum of normalized criteria values.

WPM

Compares alternatives pair by pair with a weighted product of value ratios.

Linear Assignment

Builds one overall ranking from each criterion's rank order using the Hungarian algorithm.

AHP Consistency

Checks pairwise comparison judgments for consistency and returns the priority vector.

How it works

  1. Enter your alternatives and criteria. Give each criterion a weight and mark it as a benefit (higher is better) or a cost (lower is better).
  2. Fill in the performance matrix. Or press "Load example" on any calculator to start from ready-made sample data.
  3. Run the analysis. Get a ranking or comparison, and open the details to see the intermediate matrices.

Which method should I use?

MethodUse it whenYou getYou enter
TOPSISA full ranking when you care about being close to the best and far from the worst on every criterion.Ranking with a closeness score between 0 and 1Weighted criteria (benefit or cost) and a performance matrix
ELECTREShortlisting: spotting alternatives that are clearly beaten before you apply another method.List of "A is better than B" outranking pairsWeighted criteria (benefit or cost) and a performance matrix
SAWThe simplest, easiest-to-explain score when strong results on one criterion may offset weak ones on another.Ranking with a weighted score per alternativeWeighted criteria (benefit or cost) and a performance matrix
WPMA multiplicative alternative to SAW, where a very weak value on one criterion weighs more heavily.Pairwise "A>B" comparisons and a ratio matrixWeighted criteria (benefit or cost) and a positive performance matrix
Linear AssignmentWhen only the order of alternatives per criterion matters, not how far apart the values are.One overall ranking and the rank-weight (PI) matrixWeighted criteria (benefit or cost) and a performance matrix
AHP ConsistencyDeriving criteria weights from pairwise comparisons and checking that your judgments do not contradict each other.Consistency ratio, consistency verdict and priority vector (weights)A pairwise comparison matrix of 3 to 10 criteria

Not sure about the weights? Compare your criteria in pairs with the AHP consistency check and use its priority vector as the weights in any of the other calculators.
